RESEARCH CONTEXT

Research Use & Disclaimer

GeoDataAI is an independently developed and personally funded research platform created by Forrest Tian. It supports academic research, education, and exploratory geospatial analysis, with a focus on hyperspectral, multispectral, GeoAI, and AI-assisted scientific workflows.

GeoDataAI is independently operated and is not an official product, service, or platform of The University of Texas at Dallas. References to academic affiliation describe the founder's educational and research background and do not imply institutional sponsorship or endorsement.

Spectral evidence is not confirmed material presence

A spectral match or detection is algorithmic evidence under particular inputs, preprocessing choices, reference spectra, band coverage, and thresholds. Mixed pixels, atmospheric effects, noise, calibration differences, and similar spectral signatures can produce ambiguous or incorrect results.

A detected mineral is not necessarily physically present. A non-detection does not prove absence. Independently validate findings through appropriate field observations, laboratory measurements, reference data, and established scientific methods. Similarity scores should not automatically be interpreted as probabilities or concentrations.

Interpretation and appropriate use

Review warnings, measurement state, uncertainty, metadata, and processing limitations. AI-generated explanations may contain errors. Results are experimental research outputs, not certified surveys, professional advice, or operational warnings. Do not rely on them alone for safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, engineering, or emergency decisions.

Availability and third-party resources

The research service may be unavailable or change as development proceeds. Maintain your own copies of important work. Data providers and spectral-library contributors are not responsible for GeoDataAI's interpretations. See Data Sources & Attribution and current limitations.
