USGS Spectral Library Version 7
- Organization: U.S. Geological Survey.
- Dataset/version: USGS Spectral Library Version 7 (splib07), 2017. Available in the current application.
- Citation: Kokaly, R. F., et al. (2017), USGS Spectral Library Version 7, USGS Data Series 1035. Publication DOI.
- Data release: 10.5066/F7RR1WDJ; official source and rights information.
- Terms: The data release is marked CC0 1.0. Preserve sample provenance and any separately credited materials or notices.
- GeoDataAI processing: Compatible reference spectra may be selected and resampled to imagery wavelengths or sensor bands. Coverage, units, and processing choices affect comparability.
ASTER / ECOSTRESS spectral references
- Organization: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory / California Institute of Technology, with contributing libraries including JHU, JPL, and USGS.
- Dataset/version: The official portal identifies ECOSTRESS Spectral Library Version 1.0, successor to ASTER. The locally obtained collection named ASTER_splib26 contains ecospeclib-all files; its exact release provenance needs confirmation. That folder name is not an official version number.
- Availability: Upload and integration are pending; do not assume this collection was used in a current report.
- Citations: Meerdink, S. K., Hook, S. J., Roberts, D. A., and Abbott, E. A. (2019), The ECOSTRESS spectral library version 1.0, Remote Sensing of Environment 230, 111196; Baldridge, A. M., Hook, S. J., Grove, C. I., and Rivera, G. (2009), The ASTER Spectral Library Version 2.0, Remote Sensing of Environment 113, 711–715.
- Source and terms: Official JPL spectral-library portal. The portal identifies Caltech copyright and contributor acknowledgments; do not assume the USGS CC0 designation applies to this collection.
- Derived spectra: When integrated and resampled, derivatives must retain the original library and sample attribution.
Imagery retrieved for individual runs
Provider, product, collection/version, acquisition date, asset identifier, source URL, and applicable citation should be taken from the actual dataset metadata and retrieval record. Sensor names on the homepage are examples of supported workflows, not proof that a particular source was used. Where a report lacks an exact identifier or citation, obtain it from the provider before publication.
Original measurements versus derived results
Resampled spectra are derivatives of the original reference spectra. Resampling, band selection, normalization, masking, and algorithmic analysis do not transfer ownership or make the original measurements GeoDataAI's work. Cite the source library and describe the transformations used. GeoDataAI-generated figures and detections should be identified as analysis outputs, not original library measurements.
